Capture problems

Fix a full-page capture

Why is my full-page screenshot blank or missing images?

Some images and sections load only when you scroll near them. Wait for the page to finish loading before you start. If anything is still missing, scroll to the bottom once, return to the top and try again.

Why does the header repeat down the screenshot?

Some headers and buttons stay fixed while you scroll. Fully hides common fixed items during capture, then puts the page back as it was. Some unusual pages may still not capture perfectly.

Why does the screenshot capture only the visible part?

Some apps scroll inside the page instead of scrolling the whole page. Fully can capture one main scrolling area. Pages with several separate scrolling areas may not capture perfectly.

Why does a full-page screenshot fail on an infinite page?

Infinite feeds keep loading more content and have no clear end. Fully stops the capture rather than running forever.

Why can’t an extension capture a Chrome system page?

Chrome blocks extensions from reading system pages, browser settings and the Chrome Web Store. This is a Chrome security rule, not a problem with your installation.

How do I get a high-resolution full-page screenshot?

Image size depends on the page, your screen and browser settings, and the total page length. Zooming in may create a larger image, but it can also change the layout or make the screenshot too large for Chrome. If a page is very large, Fully makes the image smaller so it can still create one PNG. Manual size and quality controls are not available yet.

What about extremely wide or unusually large layouts?

Fully is made for pages that scroll down. Very wide pages that scroll sideways are not supported. Very large screenshots may be made smaller to fit into one PNG.

Mark up and copy

Fix the finished screenshot

Where did my finished screenshot go?

Fully copies one finished PNG to your clipboard. It does not save a file in Downloads. Paste it with Command + V on Mac or Control + V on Windows or Linux.

How do I change or remove a mark?

Undo removes the latest mark. Clear all asks for confirmation and can be reversed with Undo. A finished arrow can be moved, and finished text can be moved, reopened and edited. Draw, Highlight and Cover marks cannot be moved or resized after you finish them.

Why can’t I reopen a finished screenshot?

Fully is not an editable project or screenshot-history tool. The captured page is temporary and is normally removed after you copy it or close the preview. Capture the page again if you need another version.

Does Fully send my screenshot to an AI tool?

No. Fully captures, marks up and copies the image locally in your browser. The finished image leaves your device only when you choose where to paste or share it.

Privacy and sharing

Check the whole image before sharing

A complete webpage may contain private details outside the area you marked up. Review the entire image and use the solid Cover tool over anything the recipient does not need.

See how to hide sensitive screenshot information before sharing for the complete Cover workflow and final checklist.

Do not paste or email a screenshot until you are comfortable sharing everything still visible in it. Read the Privacy Policy for details about local processing and temporary storage.
